Sending a sympathy card is not easy, but you can be sure that the recipient will appreciate your thoughtfulness and will remember it for a long time. When you take the time to send a home made sympathy card, then you are also taking the time to tell the bereaved how much you care. Making a hand made sympathy card is easy. It will only take a few minutes of your time but will be cherished for years and years.

To make a card, you will need a card stock, brads, paper flowers, paper cutter, thin marker or Calligraphy pen and double-sided adhesives. Cut the card stock into 5.5 by 8.5 inches. You do not have to use this measurement; you can choose any size you want. Fold the card in half vertically so it measures 5.5 by 4.25 inches. Place brads to the center of the paper flowers then attach the paper flowers n a decorative sign on the front of the card with the use of the double-sided adhesive.

Write a brief message on the front of the cards such as ‘With Sympathy’ or “my thoughts are with you’.  Use the thin marker or the calligraphy pen for this. You may write a quote, poem or your personalized message on the inside to express your deepest sympathies.
