A sympathy letter for a mother’s loss is sent to condole with the children of the deceased. The letter shares the grief in this very difficult time. A mother is probably the most precious and important person in anybody’s life and losing one is extremely hard and very painful. A sympathy letter for the loss of a mother should be written in such a way that it shows grief and concern.

Keep in mind that the letter should be handwritten. Below is a sample letter of a sympathy letter for a mother’s loss.

Dear Kevin,

I learned about the inopportune passing of your mother due to an accident the other day. I deeply sympathize and hope that you and the rest of the family are coping well with this terrible loss.

I know how hard it is to lose a mother. My mom died last year and all of us were devastated. However, with continuous prayer and the Lord’s guidance, we have come to accept that He had simply taken back a borrowed life. Your mother lived a fulfilling and productive life on the many things she taught us. Her warm presence in many dinners attended in your house will never be forgotten. You definitely got her sense of humor and with this, she will remain present in your life.

I hope this letter will help you try to come up to terms with her passing.

Your friend,

Tom
